4. Tighten the lock nut of the stop bolt (16) or the lock nut of the
stop sleeve (28) with torque M
table. The slide guide must not be strained.

Locking the end stop
The end position lock (37) is a component
with a mechanical holding function for
the MSC mini slide.
You can use the end position lock for
targeted holding of the slide in the
37
retracted position.
You can choose a horizontal, vertical or
angled mounting position.
The end position lock is available for piston diameters from Ø 8–
25 mm.
O
Observe the documentation for the end position lock
R412021880.
Pressurizing the mini slide
1. Ensure that the operating conditions are within the permitted
range.
2. Turn the two upstream check-choke valves completely shut
and then release them one turn.
3. Pressurize the drive by slowly pressurizing one side.
The slide travels to an end position.

Checking the mini slide during a test run
1. During the test run, check the following points;
– The speed and acceleration of the moving mass
– The mass of the useful load
– The end position
– The position of the sensors
O
Only carry out changes when the slide (1) is at a standstill.
2. Slowly unscrew the adjustment screw on the check-choke
valves again, until the desired speed is set. In doing so, the
maximum permissible speed must not be exceeded (see "12
Technical Data").
The slide should reliably reach the end position, but without a
hard impact.
A too-hard impact will cause the slide to rebound out of the end
25
position. Stop the test run if a too-hard slide impact is audible.
20
Causes for hard impacts could be:
W
The mass moment of inertia of the movable mass is too high.
W
The slide speed is too high.
W
No compressed air cushion on the exhaust side
3. If applicable, remove the above reason by resetting the check-
choke valve or correcting the cushioning length (see "Setting
the cushioning length for pneumatic cushioning" and "Setting
the cushioning length for hydraulic cushioning").
4. Repeat the test run after you have made all the necessary
corrections.
5. End the test run.
6. Firmly mount the sensors.
