3. Carefully remove the profile (see Fig.39).
4. Disassemble the cross-counterflow heat exchanger (see Fig.40).
5. Remove the dampers (see Fig.41).
5�3�2 Cleaning of cross-counterflow heat exchanger
The cross counterflow heat exchanger must be regularly checked for dirt and dust deposits. The cross counterflow heat
exchanger must also be checked for damage every 6 months. If there is dirt and dust on the heat exchanger, these can
be removed as follows:
- Aluminium cross counterflow heat exchangers can be cleaned with water (cleaning pressure max� 5 bar).
- The cleaning can be carried out with cold or warm water (up to max� 70 °C). Household cleaners may be used.
- Clean the heat exchanger on both sides!
- Do not bend the fins!

The fins must not be bent!
- When cleaning, ensure that the exchanger is not damaged mechanically or chemically.
Allow the heat exchanger to dry before installation!

Filter change

Danger to life due to electric shock!
The unit must be fully isolated from the mains power supply before all maintenance and cleaning work.
Risk of injury due to electric shock, moving parts (fan) and hot surfaces�
The filters must be checked for contamination, damage and odours every three months. If the filters are damp or moul-
dy, they must be replaced immediately.
The ventilation unit AIR1 XVP.. is equipped with an ePM1 55 % class filter on the outdoor air side and an ePM10 50 %
class filter on the extract air side as standard. If another filter is to be used in the unit, the settings must be modified in
the commissioning assistant (wizard).
