Die Vorheizung ist weiterhin aktiv in Betrieb bis eine Fortlufttemperatur von -4 °C erreicht wird. Wenn die Vorheizung für mehr als 3 Minuten bei einer Leistung von 100 % läuft, wird die zweite Stufe des Frostschutzes aktiviert.
