Use
Preparing the adapter for Aerotest Alpha
Prepare the adapter for use, if necessary.
WARNING
Explosion hazard
Work free of oil and grease. Wear goggles.
a. Perform a visual inspection on all components to check for
contamination. If required, clean by blowing with oil-free,
grease-free and dry breathing air according to
DIN EN 12021.
b. Insert the supplied copper
sealing ring (2) into the plug
nipple (1).
c. Screw in the plug-in coupling
(3) by hand as far as it will go.
d. Use an appropriate tool to
tighten the connection a
quarter turn further.
e. Check the seal with soapy
water, see Bubble Test on
page 31. Bubbles must not
form for 60 seconds.
f. If the adapter is leaking, tighten the connection further up
to max. one quarter turn and retest.
g. The adapter is ready for use. If the connection is still
leaking, contact Dräger Service.

4. Connect the measuring
device (2) to the first-
stage regulator/pressure
regulator (plug-in
connector).
High-pressure system:
The outlet pressure of the
first-stage regulator is
preset to 8.5 bar.
Low-pressure system:
CAUTION

If the outlet pressure is incorrectly set, this leads to
measurement errors.

Check the outlet pressure before every measurement.
The outlet pressure of the pressure regulator can be

adjusted as soon as the inlet pressure changes. In this
case, the outlet pressure must be readjusted using the
hand wheel on the pressure regulator. To do this, pull out
the hand wheel, turn it and read off the pressure gauge to
set the correct outlet pressure of 3 bar. Secure the hand
wheel again by pressing on its front surface.
