5.8
Entry of the capillary tubes into the
enclosure
A cable entry is assigned to each capillary tube
temperature sensor. The cable entry with a spe-
cial gland seal for the capillary tube is included
in the scope of supply.
5.9
Electrical connection
Make up the electrical connection as shown in
the scheme on the thermostatebox. Be particu-
larly careful not to mix up the heating connection
and the cooling connection.
Prior to startup it is necessary to verify the cor-
rectness of these connections once again. .
Non-observance of the stated figures or
interchanging of the contacts is dangerous!
Depending on the installed cable length, the
making current of self-limiting heating cables
must be smaller than the admissible rated
current of the thermostats.
5.10
Terminals
Generally, only terminals that possess an EC
type-examination certificate from a European
Notified Body as per EN IEC 60079-0 and EN
IEC 60079-7 may be used.
Temperature controllers and safety temperature
limiters are fitted with Phoenix Contact type UT
terminal blocks in the factory. Table 1 gives the
tightening torques, which must be complied with.
