Turn off power and disconnect input
power cord.

Do not operate unit without filter or
with dirty (plugged) filter.

Allow cooling period before inspect-

ing or replacing filter, or cleaning par-
ticle tray.

Do not breathe the particles collected
by the fume extractor. Wear approved
safety equipment (respirator, gloves,
long sleeve shirt) when servicing fil-
ter and spark guard. Dispose of used
element and collected particles ac-
cording to local, state, and federal re-
quirements.

Read and understand the Safety Data
Sheets (SDSs) and the manufactur-
er's instructions for metals, consum-
ables, coatings, cleaners, and de-
greasers.

Replace filter if, after cleaning, Filter
Monitoring light is on (unit must be

turned on) or flow is too low to extract
fumes.
!
Keep collection hose attached to
connection port when servicing filter.
NOTICE − Do not use air pressure greater
than 43 psi (296 kPa) to clean filter or filter
may be damaged.

Open top latches. Carefully remove blower
assembly.
NOTICE − Do not damage the seal around
the lower half of the unit.
Wipe off hatch. Starting at the top, use clean
dry, oil-free compressed air (43 psi [296 kPa]
max) to clean the inside of the filter cartridge.
Keep air nozzle at least 2 in. (5 cm) from filter
material. Particles on the outside of filter will
collect in the collection tray at the bottom of
the unit. Be sure to clean the entire surface
of the filter.
Remove collection tray and dispose of col-
lected particles.
Remove debris from grommet and fitting on
filter case section. Reassemble unit.

Be sure to align filter monitoring tube
with grommet in lower section.
Reconnect power. Turn on unit and check
Filter Monitoring light. Repeat filter cleaning
procedure if Filter Monitoring light is on or the
air flow is too low to extract fumes.
