6.3. EXTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS
Communication with a USB key is possible as soon as a USB key is detected by the power source.
Communication with remote host via Ethernet connection is possible:
If the power source is equipped with IP address. Menu Configuration > Network > Network configuration
There are two ways to affect IP address to the power source:
- DHCP: automatic recovery of IP address
- Manual: manual entry of the network parameters
If the remote host is defined into the power source. There are two ways to of remove host:
- Other power source with IP address
- Computer with FTP server on the port 21
External communications distinguish two main functions:
Only exportable data: Traceability / Faults History / Counters
Exportable and importable data:Welding programs / Power source configuration (see below) / Installation Backup /User Synergies
Import/Export of welding programs and power source configuration is available in the menu:
Configuration > Import/Export
