Changing the engine oil

CAUTION: The oil discharge operation is
easier to perform if the oil is warm.

1. Place a suitable container below the engine
to catch the used oil and then remove the oil
cap (A, Fig. 23), the drain bolt (B) and sealing

washer (C).
2. Allow the used oil to drain completely, and
then reinstall the drain bolt and sealing

washer, and tighten it securely.
3. With the engine in a level position, fill to the
upper limit (MAX) mark on the dipstick with
NL
the recommended oil (Fig. 24).
4. Reinstall the oil cap securely (A).

CAUTION: Running the engine with a low
oil level can cause engine damage.

WARNING:
- Regularly check to ensure the hydraulic

lines are securely fixed and undamaged.

disconnection of unions and hydraulic
lines, first depressurize the hydraulic
circuit.
- Make sure all parts removed during
maintenance are refitted.
Check
1. Whenever the machine is used make sure
there are no oil leaks.
2. With the load box fully lowered check the oil
level using the filler cap with dipstick
(B, Fig.18).
Gearbox
1. Draw off the old oil using a syringe.
2. Pour in new oil through the filler neck (B)
until the oil level reaches half way between
the maximum level notch and the end of the
dipstick (minimum level).
Crawler tracks
Periodically clean mud from the adjuster nut
(A, Fig.28) and locking screw (B) top avoid
excessive stiffening. Lubricate the track
tensioner after each use.
Power take-off (PTO)
At each use check that the seal is perfectly oil-
tight.
Grease application
The following par ts need to be greased
regularly:
1. The box supports (Fig. 25).
2. The 4 crawler rollers (Fig. 26).
CAUTION:
- Apply grease also on sliding and rough not
mentioned.
- Apply grease regularly using a grease gun.
Major servicing
It is advisable to have the machine inspected by
a specialist technician at an Authorised Service
