Warnings
DEATH or SERIOUS INJURY can occur
Read these instructions carefully before using this
• Failure to follow all warnings and instructions could result
in SERIOUS INJURY or DEATH.
• Use rear-facing for children who weigh between 2.3 and
18 kg (5 and 40 lbs) and whose height is 124.5 cm (49
in.) or less. Use forward-facing for children who weigh
between 10 and 29.4 kg (22 and 65 lbs) and whose
height is 124.5 cm (49 in.) or less AND are able to walk
unassisted.
• Snugly adjust the belts provided with this child restraint
around your child.
• Secure the top tether strap provided with this child
restraint.
• This child restraint system must be used only in a forward-
facing seating position equipped with a vehicle seat belt
or a lower universal anchorage system (LUAS).
• Do not use this seat in a position where the recline
indicator ball is outside of the allowable range for the
chosen installation method (see page 25).
• This seat must not be used in a position other than
upright for forward-facing lap-shoulder belt and lap belt
installations.
• Use the buckle slot closest to, but not underneath, your
child when installing the child seat.
• Follow all instructions on this child restraint and in the
written instructions.
• Britax strongly recommends that children should remain
in a child seat with a 5-point harness until reaching the
maximum weight or height allowed.
• Register your child restraint with the manufacturer.
• This child seat can only be used in the following classes
of vehicles: multi-purpose passenger vehicles, passenger
card, or trucks.
• In a vehicle with rear designated seating positions, vehicle
owners should be alerted that, according to accident
statistics, children are safer when properly restrained
in the rear seating positions than in the front seating
positions. To ensure your child's safety, please study
"Vehicle Seating Positions" on page 32 and consult
your vehicle owner's manual.
