4. If you are running Solaris 2.6 or 2.5.1, type the following command:
# ./installpatch .
If you are running Solaris 7, use this command:
# patchadd .
The installation process takes a few minutes. You will see console messages similar
to the following:
Checking installed packages and patches...
Generating list of files to be patched...
Verifying sufficient filesystem capacity (exhaustive method)...
Installing patch packages...
When the patch installation is complete, the console returns the following messages
(substituting the patch number you installed for xxxx):
Patch number xxxx has been installed.
Patch packages installed:
SUNWcsr
If your system reports any errors installing the patch, refer to the README file that
came with the patch.
Installing the SunPCi Card
This section explains how to install the SunPCi card in your system. Included in this
section are a list of system requirements for using the SunPCi card, and step-by-step
instructions for performing the installation procedures.
Note – The SunPCi card is designed for use in PCI-based SPARCstations only
(Ultra 5, 10, 30, 60, 450, and Enterprise and Workgroup Servers). It will not work in
an SBus-based workstation.
