cannot be adversely affected
under normal operating con-
ditions. All cables leading to
the outside must be splash
proof at the leadthrough
opening.
When carrying out electric
welding work on the body the
appliance connection must
be disconnected from the ve-
hicle electrical system.
When using power packs,
please observe that the
appliance is only to be oper-
ated with safety extra-low
voltage in accordance with
EN 60742!
Note: When connecting sev-
eral 12 V devices we recom-
mend the electroni-cally con-
trolled Truma Power Pack NT
(Art. no. 39900-01). The Tru-
ma power pack (6 A continu-
ous current) is also suitable
for trickle charging of lead-
acid batteries (not gel batter-
ies!). Other chargers are only
to be used with a car battery
12 V acting as buffer. When
calculating the power require-
ment always consider the
starting currents: The peak
performance of power packs
can differ. A ripple content
U
≤ 1 V with load is possi-
BR
ble.

Hot Air Distribution
Fig. H: Hot air is drawn in via
the Trumavent fan (15) and
fed via the three hot air out-
lets on the air diffuser (14)
through flexible pipes (42)
mainly into the floor area of
the vehicle.
The three connectors on the
air diffuser (14) are specially
designed for the Truma fan
pipe ÜR Ø 65 mm. Push the
fan pipes firmly into the hot
air connectors. If the original
pressure-resistant Truma fan
pipes are not used, the pipes
must be safeguarded with
two Ø 2,9 mm self-tapping
screws.
Caution: The ÜR Ø 65 mm
pipe with several air es-
capes must be connected
to all three hot air outlets.
The warm air system is de-
signed for each type of vehi-
cle individually, on a modular
basis. There is an extensive
accessories program available
(refer here to our brochure).
You can obtain diagrams free
of charge from the Truma
Service Centre, showing opti-
mal installation suggestions
for warm air systems in all
current-type caravans and
mobile homes.

Function check
Prior to switching on for the
first time, have the appliance
and the exhaust ducting
checked by an expert and also
have him check the entire gas
installation for leaks (using
the pressure drop method).
Following this inspection, test
all functions of the appliance
as specified in the operating
instructions.
The operating instructions
and completed guarantee
card are to be given to the
owner of the vehicle.

Warning
information
The installer or vehicle owner
must display the yellow stick-
er with the warning informa-
tion, enclosed with the appli-
ance, in the vehicle so it is
clearly visible to all users
(e.g. on the wardrobe door)!
Ask Truma to send you a
sticker if necessary.

Special installation
instructions
Attention: This heater is not
to be installed in mobile
homes intended for registra-
tion in Germany!
In other countries the respec-
tive regulations must be ob-
served as well as the restric-
tions for using the appliance
when moving.
1. When using the heater
- particularly while driving -
the roof flue must be open to
allow the flow of air. If neces-
sary, fit an AKV flue extension
(item No. 30010-20800).
Mobile home manufacturers
are required to determine the
ideal combination of combus-
tion air intake extension and
roof flue extension to suit the
individual versions of their ve-
hicles by carrying out test
runs and consulting Truma.
Roof extensions as well as
luggage stowed in the vicinity
of the exhaust cowl impede
the heater in its operation, es-
pecially whilst the vehicle is
moving. The flame may flash
back, causing damage to the
heater and vehicle. In this
case additional cowl exten-
sions must be used so that
the top of the cowl projects at
least 10 cm above any ob-
jects. Failure to observe this
instruction means that no
guarantee claim will be enter-
tained for resultant damage
to the heater and vehicle.
2. If the vehicle is under-
sealed, the combustion air
intake connection under the
vehicle must be covered to
prevent the resulting spray
mist from impairing the oper-
ation of the heating unit. Re-
move the covering again
once the work is completed.
