9. Set the cutting width to 0.
10. Push the slide towards the cutting blade as far as it will go.
11. If there are food residues on the cutting blade, in particular after slicing items con-
taining fat (e.g. sausages, cheese), clean the cutting blade and the device (see the
"Cleaning and Care" chapter).

Cleaning and Care

PLEASE NOTE!
CAUTION – Danger of Injury from Sharp Cutting Blade! Never grasp the cutting
blade by the cutting surface, but only by the holder.
Do not use any caustic or abrasive cleaning agents or cleaning pads. These could
damage the surfaces.
1. Detach the fi nger guard (8) and the slide (5) from the device (see the "Use" chap-
ter | "Before Slicing").
5. Dry all parts thoroughly.
6. Insert the cutting blade back into the device and turn the locking screw anticlockwise
to secure it.

Storage

Check the mains cable regularly for any damage.
Do not wrap the mains cable around the device (danger of the cable breaking).
When not in use the device should be stored in a cool, dry place which is not acces-
sible to children and animals.

Disposal

Dispose of the packaging material in an environmentally friendly manner and
take it to a recycling centre.
Dispose of the device in an environmentally friendly manner at a recycling cen-
tre for used electrical and electronic devices. More information is available from
your local authorities.

2. Turn the locking screw (4) clockwise to release the cutting
blade (3).
3. Carefully take off the cutting blade.
4. Wipe down the device and the accessories with a damp
cloth. The fi nger guard and the cutting blade can also be
washed with water and mild detergent. Note: The device
and accessories are not dishwasher-safe!
