CAUTION – Danger of Injury
Danger of injury from sharp cutting blade!
■
Never grasp the cutting blade by the cutting surface. Always use the slide and
fi nger guard when cutting.
■
Never attempt to stop the rotating cutting blade from the outside. To stop it, al-
ways move the switch to the O position (see the "Use" chapter | "Slicing").
■
Make sure that the drive continues to run for a short time after switch-off. Allow the
cutting blade to come to a standstill fi rst before cleaning or adjusting it.
■
After use, adjust the cutting width to 0 to prevent anyone from reaching in acci-
dentally.
■
Danger of injury from rotating device parts! Keep clothing, jewellery, hair, hands
and other body parts away from rotating device parts so that nothing can get caught
in them.
■
Danger of tripping! Make sure that the connected mains cable does not present
a trip hazard. The mains cable must not hang down from the surface on which the
device is placed in order to prevent the device from being pulled down.
WARNING – Danger of Fire
■
Do not use the device in rooms containing easily ignitable dust or poisonous and
explosive fumes.
■
Do not use the device in conjunction with extension cables.
■
Do not connect the device along with other consumers (with a high wattage) to a mul-
tiple socket in order to prevent overloading and a possible short circuit (fi re).
■
Do not operate the device in the vicinity of combustible material.
■
Do not cover the device during operation.
■
In the event of a fi re: Do not extinguish with water! Smother the fl ames with a fi reproof
blanket or a suitable fi re extinguisher.
NOTE – Risk of Damage to Material and Property

The device should only be used if it has been correctly assembled! Check before
each use whether the cutting blade has been inserted correctly!
■
Position the mains cable in such a way that it does not become squashed or bent and
does not come into contact with hot surfaces.
■
Switch off the device and pull the mains plug out of the plug socket if an error occurs
during operation, when there is a power cut or before a thunderstorm.
■
Never pull or carry the device by the mains cable. When you pull it out of the plug
socket, always pull on the mains plug and never the mains cable!
■
Protect the device from heat sources, naked fl ames, sub-zero temperatures, persis-
tent moisture, wet conditions and impacts.
■
Use only original spare parts from the manufacturer.
