Maintenance and Cleaning
The calibrator has cooled down sufficiently ( p. 47).
The calibrator has been switched off and disconnected from the mains.
8.1 Maintenance
For safe operation of the calibrator, carry out the following checks at regular intervals:
Before use
Check the calibrator for damage.
For calibrator with calibration bath, check the filled height of the calibration liquid. Ob-
serve the information on filling amounts ( p. 44).
Annually
Carry out a visual inspection of all parts of the calibrator for corrosion, wear and damage.
Have a safety check of all electrical parts carried out by a specialist.
Recalibration
Send the calibrator to SIKA for Recalibration ( p. 57) after 36 months or after a maxi-
mum of 500 operating hours.
Air Shield Insert
Replace the spring of the calibration insert if the insert is no longer firmly seated in the
block.
Calibration liquid
Calibration liquids become contaminated or age over time. This depends largely on the type
of liquid and the usage behaviour.
Replace the contaminated or aged calibration fluid.
Magnetic stirrer
The magnetic stirrer is a limited life part. The fillet in the middle reduces the friction during the
rotary movement. Once the fillet has worn, the stirring function can no longer be guaranteed
because of the increased friction.
Check the fillet of the magnetic stirrer for wear and replace it in time.
