4 Commissioning and Operation
4.1 Operating Conditions
Installation site and operating position
 Only suitable for indoor use, do not use outdoors.
 Only operate vertically on a level surface. The surface must be firm, clean and dry.
The stability and the specified properties of the calibrator cannot be guaranteed if the cali-
brator is set up differently.
 At higher test temperatures, use a sufficiently large, fireproof base.
 Sufficient clearance around the device.
To the front > 1 m, to the sides and to the rear > 0.5 m. Sufficient free space above the
device.
 The device under test must be securely fixed in the calibrator.
 Ensure sufficient ventilation.
 Do not use in potentially explosive atmospheres (flammable or explosive atmospheres).
 Do not operate near flammable materials.
 Do not install in a cabinet or other enclosure.
 Do not block or cover ventilation openings.
 Place the device in such a way that it can be switched off at any time.

IMPORTANT
The plug of the mains connecting cable serves as a "KILL" switch.
 The plug must always be freely accessible and easily reachable.
 In an emergency, pull the plug to disconnect the device from the mains.
