Sensor cage and magnetic stirrer
The sensor cage protects the magnetic stirrer. It prevents the sensors from
blocking the magnetic stirrer. The function of stirring is ensured by the sen-
sor cage.
The magnetic stirrer ensures a uniform temperature distribution in the cali-
bration liquid.
Drain syringe and magnetic lifter
The drain syringe is used to pump out the calibration liquid from the tank of
the calibration bath. The magnetic stirrer is removed with the magnetic
lifter.
Both are required before another calibration insert is inserted in the calibrator.
Tub insert (optional / accessory)
We recommend using a tub insert if you
frequently change between dry block, infrared, surface and calibra-
•
tion bath function.
•
frequently work with different calibration liquids.
The tub insert is placed into the tank with the exchange tool.
Just like the tank, the tub insert can be closed with the corresponding lid.
Both threaded lids are leak proof, so the calibration liquid can be left in the
tank or the tub insert during transport.
4.3.4.1 Notes on the Calibration Liquid
Different calibration liquids provide different calibration results due to their specific properties.
An adjustment to the calibration liquid used in each case must be carried out at the factory by
the manufacturer.
To achieve the greatest possible accuracy in the calibration bath, you must use a suitable
calibration liquid.
IMPORTANT
Use only clean calibration fluids. When checking temperature sensors and other
temperature measuring devices, the calibration liquid may become contaminated.
These impurities can lead to abrasive effects on the bottom of the tank due to the
rotary movement of the magnetic stirrer.
Clean the tank.
Clean the sensors before calibration.
Exchange the worn magnet stirrer.
Exchange dirty, smeary calibration fluid.
