Safety Instructions
Read the operating manual carefully. Follow all instructions and notices to prevent injury or
damage to property.
Intended use
The TP 37 / TP 3M series of calibrators may only be used for calibration of suitable tempera-
ture measuring instruments and temperature sensors.
The calibrators must not be used to heat or warm other parts or gases.
The calibration baths may only be used with suitable media. Permitted liquids are silicone
oils, mineral oils and water ( p. 34).
Hazardous media (flammable or explosive liquids or gases) may not be used.
WARNING
Touching hot parts can cause severe burns.
Never touch the metal block, the tank, the calibration insert, or the device un-
der test at temperatures above 35 °C or below 10 °C.
Allow the calibrator to cool down (≥ 10 °C and ≤ 35 °C) before removing the
device under test, cleaning the tank, changing the calibration insert or switch-
ing off the device.
Never leave the calibrator unattended during operation or cooling down.
IMPORTANT
The opening in the metal block of the calibrator is only suitable for operation with
calibration inserts.
The use of heat transfer media (oil, thermal paste or other media) can lead to in-
correct measurements and damage to the calibrator.
Never fill heat transfer media (oil, thermal paste or other media) into the metal
block.
Only use calibration baths with calibration liquids.
Qualified personnel
The personnel entrusted with the operation and maintenance of the device must be ap-
•
propriately qualified. This can be done by training or instruction.
General safety instructions
Structural safety according to EN 61010-1:
•
The calibrator must be set up in such a way that the requirements for stability are met
( p. 37).
Do not use in potentially explosive atmospheres (flammable or explosive atmospheres).
•
Do not operate near flammable materials.
•
The calibrator may only be operated in the temperature range permissible for the device
•
under test.
