Remove weak batteries immediately to prevent battery acid leaks!
Always replace spent batteries completely with the same type.
Opening the casing and repair attempts lead to the loss of the warranty.
Error remedy
The 868MHz technology makes it possible to transmit data over a short to medium
distance wireless. The transmitter uses a carrier frequency of 868 MHz for transmitting
the information. The receiver filters this information out of the signal and analyses it.
This frequency is a general frequency, meaning anyone can use devices in this fre-
quency range without having to register them or passing an amateur radio technician
exam. This new technology enabled the production of many innovative products like
babyphones, LPD walkie-talkies, audio transmission system or this weather station.
Due to radio transmission, no cables are required. Due to the statutory regulations,
the transmission power and bandwidth is very low. Therefore, problems may some-
times occur when using these devices:
1. Reception problems:
- No display of the transmitted data on the receiver unit.
- Frequent loss of data transmission.
2. Reception Disturbances
- Transmitters are attached to metal frames or similar.
- Reinforced concrete walls and ceilings. High air humidity may also restrict the
reception.
- Vapourised windows or thermally insulated vitrification.
- Mirrors, trees, buildings or similar close-by.
3. Interference:
- Other 868MHz devices are located in a range of 20 m to your weather station. Your
neighbour's devices, e.g. headphones, babyfones or other weather stations work
on the same frequency.
- Several transmitters installed next to each other (minimum distance approx. 0.5 m).
- Microwaves, heater controls, TVs, PCs or other household devices are located in
direct proximity (minimum distance approx. 2- 3 m).
4. Error analysis:
- Did you exactly follow the operating instructions?
First insert the batteries in the transmitter and THEN in the receiver!
