However, when the symbols show sun or rain, the display does not change when the
weather gets better (display: SUNNY) or worse (display: RAINY) because the display
symbols already represent the two extreme situations.
The display symbols indicate a weather change for the better or worse, which does
not have to mean sun or rain, however, as indicated by the symbols. For example, if
the current weather is cloudy and rain is displayed, this does not mean that the
device malfunctions, but rather that the air pressure has dropped and that a worse
weather condition is to be expected, which does not necessarily have to mean rain,
however.
Note:
After making the basic settings, you should not pay attention to the measuring val-
ues and weather forecasts for the first 12 to 24 hours, because the station first has to
collect air pressure data in this period on a constant height above sea level to make
a more exact forecast.
Just like with any other weather forecast, absolute accuracy cannot be guaranteed
here. Due to the different climatic zones for which the device was designed, the
weather station has an average accuracy of 75%. In regions with sudden weather
changes, e.g. from sun to rain, the weather station will be more accurate than in
regions with constant weather conditions, e.g. mostly sunny.
If the weather station is taken to a place that is significantly higher or lower than the
original location, e.g. from the ground floor to the top stories of a house, please
ignore the display of the weather forecast for the next 12 to 24 hours. With this mea-
sure, the device has the chance to process larger measuring series and will therefore
not wrongly interpret the new location as a change in air pressure if this actually only
concerns a slight change of the height above sea level.
Weather trend display
The weather trend displays work together with the weather forecast symbols.
These are the arrows to the right and the left of the weather symbols. If this arrow
points upwards, this means that the air pressure is rising and that the weather is get-
ting better. If the arrow points downwards, this means that the air pressure is drop-
ping and that the weather will get worse.
Due to this, the device is also able to indicate how the weather has changed or how
it may change. If the downwards arrow is displayed with the cloudy sun symbol, for
example, the last weather change took place during a sunny period, meaning only
the sun symbol was displayed. Due to the fact that the trend arrow points down-
wards, this also means that the next weather change will result in the display of the
rain symbol.
