The gearmotor is equipped with a mechanical system that enables manu-
al opening and closing of the door.
These manual operations must be performed in the event of a power fail-
ure or system malfunctions. In the latter case, use of the release mecha-
nism may be useful also to check whether the fault is linked to the mech-
anism itself (e.g. it may be incorrectly tightened).
Note – In the event of a power failure, the buffer battery may also be used
to move the door (mod. ME), if fitted in the system.
To manually release the gearmotor, use the release key supplied as fol-
lows:
01. Pull the release cord down until the carriage disengages.
02. At this point the door can be moved manually to the required posi-
tion.
03. To restore automation operation, return the door to the initial position
until you hear the carriage engage.
When the battery is discharged, the transmitter capacity is significantly
reduced. In particular, this can be noted when the intensity of the led is
reduced (fading) when lit (= battery totally discharged).
In these cases, to restore normal transmitter operation, the battery must
be replaced with a version of the same type (CR2016), noting the polarity
as specified.
To replace the batteries proceed as follows:
01. Open the bottom by pulling it upwards.
02. Insert a small tip of a tool in the slot and use to push out the batter-
ies.
03. Then remove the old batteries and replace with new versions, taking
care to insert the latter with the polarity as specified (the + sign at the
bottom).

Battery disposal
Caution! – Even if discharged, the batteries can contain pollutant sub-
stances and therefore must never be disposed of in common waste col-
lection points. Dispose of according to separate waste collection meth-
ods as envisaged by current local standards.
