DIAGRAM OF PIPES OF FEED SYSTEM FOR LIGHT OIL
BURNERS WITH MAXIMUM NOMINAL VISCOSITY 5 °E AT 50 °C
The combustible recovery and degasifier tanks (diameter ~ 150, height ~ 400) should be installed as near
as possible to the burner and should be about 0,5 m. higher with respect to the burner's pump.
DESCRIPTION OF OPERATION (See 0002901440)
On closing the master switch for the control box (1) if the
thermostats (adjustment and safety) permit, the current
will get to the electrical control box that switches on the
motor and the ignition transformer. After a few seconds,
the motor starts to turn the fan for preventilation with
combustion chamber air. At the same time the working
of the pump circulates the light oil in the ducts. During
the preventilation stage the motor that moves the
combustion air damper opens it at its second flame
position (preventilation with air open).
Subsequently, for ignition, the air damper is moved back
to the first flame position.
This "pre-wash" and "preventilation" stage ends with the
closing of the solenoid valve (6) (open at rest phase).
On the closing of the solenoid value the pressure in
the delivery ducts is increased; the fuel reaches the fist
stage nozzle at a pressure of 16 bar at which the pump is
calibrated and device 4 on the atomisation unit opens.
The light oil atomised comes out of the nozzle and
is ignited by the charge from the electrodes already
present on the start up of the motor. If the flame appears
normally, the programmer overcomes the lock-out
position and switches on the motor that moves the
combustion air damper until it is in its second stage
position.
