5. Operation
5.1
Cartridge Installation and Replacement
A cartridge can only be installed or replaced if both pressure discs
(9, Fig. 1) are in their home position.
• Close the unit cover (8, Fig. 1).
• Press the retract key (4).
○ The pressure discs return to their home position and automatically
stop.
Just before the end, the retraction speed reduces. Only open the
unit cover once the pressure discs have reached their home posi-

tion and have stopped.
If the return path of the pressing table is stopped by pressing the
motion button, the table will not re-continue it's path automatically.
In order to continue it is necessary to press the return path button
again.
• Open the unit cover (8, Fig. 1).
• Place cartridge (20) in unit attached. Please make sure that the
cartridge is fitted into place under the catch (12).
• Select mixing program (15), cf. also section 5.1.1.
Information on the mixing program can be found on the cartridge
in the form of an „asterisk"
All impression materials which are not marked with these symbols
must be processed with the programme
• Close the unit cover (8, Fig. 1).
The cover will only close if the cartridge has been properly in-
stalled. The red "Unit cover open" LED (7, Fig. 1) will remain on
until the unit cover has been properly closed.
• Please refer to the instructions of the casting material manufacturer when preparing and levelling the
cartridge systems.
Use only mixing nozzles recommended by the material manufacturer. The use of other mixing
nozzles may cause malfunction.
5.1.1 Select mixing program
The mixing program is selected by pressing the program keys (15). The
selection of a particular mixing program is confirmed by the green LED
lamp next to the relevant program key.

only be used with special casting materials and cartridge/mixing nozzle
systems which carry these symbols.

these symbols must be processed with the

meet the quality standards guaranteed by the respective manufacturer.
The following points apply when selecting the mixing program:

• Activate the mixing program by pressing the corresponding program key (15, Fig. 7).
For mixing program the following applies:
− When the extrusion process has been completed, the mixing program selected remains in standby
mode and is still enabled when the unit is switched off.
− When changing the cartridge, the pressure discs have been moved to their home position, the mix-
ing program is deactivated.
− As long as the pressure discs are in their home position, the unit cover is open and no mixing pro-
gram is activated, all program key LED are flashing.
− When the unit cover is closed, the LED will turn off. When opening the unit cover and no extrusion
process has been started or no mixing program has been activated, they will start flashing again.
