5. Transport and start up
5.1 Transport and installation
The machine is designed to operate in closed rooms and
must be placed stable on a firm and levelled table surface.
The machine must be bolted down. The base has to holes
for the mounting bolts.
For packing reasons the machine is not completely
assembled.
5.2 Assembly
If you notice transport damage while unpacking, notify your
supplier immediately. Do not operate the machine!
Dispose of the packing in an environmentally friendly
manner.
Clean all rust protected surfaces with a mild solvent e.g.
petroleum.
(Note: lacquer thinner or similar can destroy the paint).
Attach the column assembly (Q, Fig 3 ) to the base (F) with
four hex cap bolts (R), tighten firmly.

Attach the column flange (P, Fig 3) with the rack (O) installed
to the column.
Mount the rack guide ring (N) and clamp with the screw.
Slide the table bracket rising handle (E) onto the table
bracket shaft.
Turn the handle until the set screw is opposite the flat section
on the shaft and tighten the set screw .
Screw the lock handle (S, Fig 4) into the column flange (P).
Mount the working table (H, Fig 3).
Screw the lock handle (G, Fig 3) into the table support.
With the aid of a second person, carefully lift the head onto
the column top.
Caution: The head assembly is heavy! Use care when
lifting onto the column!
Rotate the head assembly until the sides of the belt cover are
parallel with the sides of the base.
