n SGS does not respond to actions on the remote control
The ON/OFF indicator light does not come on when the power supply is connected.
l
►
Check the power supply.
►
Check the supply cable.
►
Check the fuse.
The DANGER indicator light
remains permanently on.
l
This signal indicates a cell fault.
►
Check the cell alignment.
►
Check power supply to the cells.
►
Check that the cells are recognised in automatic mode.
►
Check that the voltage of the light matches the power supply (230V or 24V for solar
power).
The ON/OFF indicator light flashes slowly.
l
►
Power supply fault: call the Somfy Hotline.
►
Excessive load: excessive wind or door too heavy.
The ON/OFF indicator light flashes quickly.
l
►
Cylinder overheated: wait for it to cool down.
►
Short circuit on motor output(s): call the Somfy Hotline.
Cylinders M1 and M2 will not start or move in the wrong direction.
l
►
Check the connection to the electronics.
►
Check the extension piece between the two cylinders.
►
Check the cylinder wiring, reverse if necessary (see page 9).
The remote control range is reduced.
l
►
Check the aerial wire.
►
Check the transmitter battery.

Description and connections
n Cells
The cells are used to stop or reverse the movement of the gate when an obstacle is detected.
A set of cells can be installed. Each set of cells comprises:
• one transmitter cell (TC),
• one receiver cell (RC).
Cell location
l
To simplify the wiring, place the receiver
cell on the pillar supporting the motor fitted
with the electronic unit.
Before
connecting
the
cells,
remove the wire (shunt), placed
between terminals 3 and 4 of the
electronic unit.

For solar power, see page 19.
For optimum cell operation, it is necessary to reposition the cell cover.
Safety advice
l
The correct operation of the cells must be checked every 6 months. To do this, when the gate is closing,
block one cell with your hand. Closing should be interrupted.
