o Summary of dimensions
The type of gate determines where the cylinders are to be placed. Measure the dimensions described
below to determine their position on the pillars:
For these measurements, the leaves and their hinges are assumed to be on the same axis. If the
hinges are not aligned (offset), the leaves' maximum opening angle will
be less than the values shown.
For correct operation, dimension A must be carried over, dimension B
must be respected and the cylinder angle bracket (E or e) must
be correctly positioned.
Measure dimension A

This can be found using the table below:
• the maximum opening value of the gate
leaves,
• dimension B to determine the vertical
positioning axis of the cylinders on the
pillars.
• the direction of fitting (E or e) of the
cylinder-fastening plate.

Refer to dimension B and mark a

vertical axis AM on the pillars.
o Drilling the pillars.

Align the marker made on the bracket
with the AH axis and align the edge of
the bracket with the AM axis.
Hold the bracket horizontal.
Using a small diameter (4 or 5 mm)

concrete drill bit, pre-drill 2 holes for the
chemical anchorages, on each pillar, at
the positions marked.
Finish drilling the 2 holes using a concrete
drill bit with a diameter corresponding to
the chemical anchorages.
the method and drilling diameters recommended in this guide with the chemical
anchorages must be followed carefully.
Mark the horizontal axis AH on the
2
pillar, halfway up the reinforcement.
