Safety instructions
Before proceeding with the installation of your product, it is essential that you read this
guide in full. All the instructions given must be followed closely and this guide must be
stored in a safe place throughout the service life of your product.
Failure to follow these installation instructions may result in serious injury or damage
to the equipment. Somfy shall not be held liable in this event.
This device is not designed to be used by persons (including children) whose physical,
sensory or mental capacity is impaired, or persons with little experience or knowledge,
unless they are under supervision or have received instructions on using the device
by a person responsible for their safety.

If you are using a switch without a locking device***, ensure that other people remain
at a distance.
Check the product regularly to detect any defects in balance in the gate or any signs
of wear. Do not use the device if it needs repairing or adjusting.
Disconnect the device from the power supply during cleaning operations or other
maintenance operations.
Before installing the motor, ensure that the driven part is in good mechanical condition,
that it is correctly balanced and that it opens and closes correctly.
Ensure that any danger zones (crushing, cutting, trapping) between the driven part and
the surrounding fixed parts created by the opening of the driven part are avoided.
Watch your gate while it is moving.
Any switch without a locking device*** must be in direct view of the driven part,
but away from any mobile parts. Unless it is key-operated, it must be installed at a
minimum height of 1.5 m and must not be accessible to the public.
Maintain a clear area of 500 mm behind each gate when the gate is completely
open.
Do not throw away your scrapped equipment or used batteries with
household waste. It is your responsibility to dispose of your electronic
equipment in the relevant recycling points.
