29 - DESCRIPTION OF CONTROL UNIT
The control unit is composed of the following main elements to
know during the installation phase (Fig. 66 and 67).
A -
preparation of the terminal board for connection
to peripherals
and additional accessories
B -
connector for connection of the motor encoder
C - connector for connection of the power supply on the motor
D -
connector for connection of the batteries
m
ATTENTION: check the correct insertion direction of the
battery connector; only use batteries supplied by V2; only
use a cable for the board /batteries with a protection fuse
6.3AT.
On the contrary, you may get an electric shock which could
compromise circuit protection resulting in the risk of fire
and irreversible damage for the product.
E -
connector for insertion of the optional
battery charging board
F - switching power unit: transforms the mains power
(230Vac) into an output voltage of 40V for the unit
m
DANGER: the electric circuit of the switching power
unit has parts exposed to voltages of approx. 600V.
Do not remove the base and the protective cover for any
reason on the switching power unit.
Do not pour liquids, do not insert any type of object,
especially metal, in the ventilation slits on the cover. On
the contrary, fatal electric shocks could occur or irreversible
damage for the product.
G - fuse with 250V 1A T protection
H - display and keys to adjust the operating
parameters and operating mode selection
I - main key: removable memory key to program
the control unit data
m
ATTENTION: carefully check the main key is correctly
inserted until it stops before start-up of the control unit.
On the contrary, unpredictable malfunctions may occur.
J -
terminal board for sensors and accessories
K - 90° connector of the electrical mains power supply cable
(230VAC)
M - connection screw of the ground protection

30 - GROUND PROTECTION
The control unit offers additional protection for the aluminium
box and the metal parts connected to it through the ground
connection to the electrical mains (Fig.67).
To ensure efficient protection, tighten the screw M and the screw
nut O so the aluminium box is electrically connected to ground
pole L1.
m
tightened.
Check perfect electrical continuity between ground pole L1
and the surface of the automatism beam.
On the contrary, an important safety function could be
compromised for the entire system and fatal electrical
shocks or product malfunctions can occur.
