the parts together to obtain a closer fit; for technical reasons there is no other way of
closing the gap.
73. Cut out the oil cooler shells (93, 94) slightly oversize, i.e. working just outside the marked
lines. Glue the shells together using UHU-por and cut out the front opening once the
glue has set hard.
74. Cut a piece of 100-grit abrasive paper to an appropriate width and length and lay it on the
cowl as shown. Carefully rub the oil cooler against the glasspaper so that it takes up the
curvature of the cowl. Glue the oil cooler to the cowl at a point about 15 mm from the
rear edge using UHU-por.
75. Screw the ring-screws (95) into the threaded sleeves (34): fit four of the screws to their
full depth, and leave one full thread free for the remainder. Cut off the excess threaded
length of the ring-screws.
76. Epoxy the rigging supports in the top and bottom wing centre sections; check that it is still
possible to rotate the ring-screws.
77. Prepare the carbon wing rigging rods (10, 11) and connect them to the supports. The rod
(10) is hung in the canopy and rod (11) is hung in the lower wing.
78. Use UHU-por to glue the rigging doublers (95) to the wings, in line with the slots: attach
them to the top of the top wings, and the bottom of the bottom wings. Fit the strut
holders (96) through the doublers and the wings.
79. Slide the wing joiners (8) into the wings, and fit them on the fuselage. Attach the struts to
the strut holders, and slip the rigging supports through the struts and the strut holders.
Connect the rigging rods to the holders. Repeat this procedure on all the wings. Screw
the clevises on the rigging rods in or out in order to align the wings correctly. When you
are confident that all is well, fix the clevises to the rods with a drop of thin cyano. The
clevises can be opened and disconnected quickly and easily using the clevis opener
(97).
80. Press the strut holders against the doublers, and glue them in place using thick cyano.
Ensure that the holders are at the same angle as the struts.
81. Glue the threaded couplers (62) to the aileron pushrods (4). Screw the black ball-link (98)
on the one end, and the natural ball-link (99) on the other.
82. Press the ball-links onto the linkage balls on the aileron servos. Set the servos to neutral,
and screw the ball-links in or out to adjust the length of the pushrods until all the
ailerons are at neutral (centre).
83. Glue the link horns (100) in the notches in the ailerons using foam cyano.
84. The aileron link rods (2) can now be assembled: heat the plastic clevises (101) gently
using a heat-gun, and push them onto the carbon rods.
85. Connect the pushrods to the link horns and adjust them if necessary.
86. Insert the retaining screws (supplied with the motor) in the holes in the motor mounts
(102), and glue the two parts together using thick cyano. Don't get glue on the
