20. Glue the fin (40) to the fuselage spine (41) using UHU-por. Sand the trailing edge of the
fin to a chamfer of about 15°, and glue the carbon rudder reinforcement (17) to the
chamfered face using UHU-por, flush with the acute edge of the Depron.
21. Glue the large locating plates (42) to the undercarriage supports (43), and the small
locating plates (44) to the cabane supports (45) using thick cyano. Take care to line up
the locating plates exactly with the marked lines.
22. Before carrying out the next two stages, please follow the illustrations very
carefully so that the servo holder and the plywood pieces are glued to the correct
side of the longeron. Glue one of the servo mounts (46 or 47; if 47, centre it in the
opening) over the aperture in the left-hand fuselage side panel (45) using UHU-por.
23. glue the cabane supports and the undercarriage supports in the left and right fuselage
side panels (45, 48) using UHU-por. Note that the undercarriage supports should be
splayed out at the front.
24. Glue the fuselage side panels (45, 48) to the central fuselage spine (41) using UHU-por.
25. Slide the bottom wing centre section into the fuselage framework.
26. Fit the support formers (49) in the slots using light pressure, then adjust the position of
the centre section so that the support formers (49) are exactly at right-angles to the
wing centre section and the fuselage when viewed from the nose.
27. Glue the snake outer sleeves (50) in the pushrod guides (51, 52) using foam cyano. Glue
the rudder pushrod guide (52) in the bottom slot in the left-hand side of the fuselage
spine, and the elevator pushrod guides in the opposite slot from both sides.
28. Sand the trailing edge of the tailplane (53) to a chamfer of about 15° , and glue the carbon
tailplane reinforcement (18) to the angled face using UHU-por, flush with the acute edge
of the Depron.
29. The tailplane (53) can now be glued to the fuselage using foam cyano, taking care to
keep it at 90° to the central fuselage spine. You will find laser-cut 6 mm Ø semi-circles
in the front and rear of the tailplane (53) which are intended to help you position the
panel accurately.
30. Open up the tailwheel unit (54) to an angle of about 91°. To check the angle, insert the
horn (56) in the rudder (55); the tailwheel unit should now lie parallel to the horn and the
slot.
31. Glue the short in-fill piece (58) to the bottom left-hand corner of the tailwheel unit support
(57) using thick cyano; position it flush with the long side. Place the tailwheel unit
against the short in-fill piece (58) and glue the long in-fill piece (59) in place, gluing the
tailwheel unit (54) at the same time. Glue the second tailwheel unit support (57) on top
to complete the sealed box.
32. Sand the leading edge of the rudder (55) to a 45° chamfer, and glue the horn in the slot
using foam cyano.
33. Glue the tailwheel assembly in the slot in the rudder, and to the rudder horn (56). Glue
the supplementary reinforcement (60) in place using UHU-por and thick cyano.
