6 - REGENERATION OF THE MASK FOR REUSE ON DIFFERENT
PATIENTS
The mask can be regenerated for up to 20 cycles by one of the following
processes:
• high level thermal disinfection;
• high level chemical disinfection.
For full detailed mask regeneration instructions, consult the "Guide to
decontamination, disinfection and sterilization" available electronically on the
website medicaldevice.airliquide.com or at your dealer.
PRECAUTIONS
• The mask must always be regenerated before use on a new patient.
• The headgear must be replaced.

8 - DISPOSAL
The mask components are made of the materials indicated below. They
do not contain hazardous substances and can therefore be disposed of
with ordinary household waste.

SOLUTIONS
Follow the indicated pro-
cedure:
- Disassemble the mask in all
its components;
- Leave the elbow connector
with the exhalation orifices
immersed in a bath of hot
water (at maximum domestic
water temperature) and neu-
tral soap for about 2 hours;
- Rinse the component with
fresh clean water and pay
particular attention when
removing any soap deposits;
- Dry it with a dry cloth/ allow
to air dry, away from direct
sunlight;
- Assemble the mask.
If necessary, carry out these
operations with the aid of a
soft bristle brush and brush
the exhalation orifices for 30
seconds under running water.
