5.4 CONSERVATION
KIKKA models are provided with the convenient
"conservation" function, which allows the operator to
switch the machine from production to stand-by
mode in case of long pauses in ice-cream delivery
due to evening closing, closing day etc.
During this phase, the machine keeps the product in
the tank and the end-ice-cream in the cylinder at
suitable temperatures. Furthermore the machine
checks for the ice-cream consistency with sampling
times longer than during production. This way the
ice-cream quality is preserved even after a long
stopping time.
To enter the conservation programme, it is sufficient
to press the "CONSERVATION" pushbutton on the
pushbutton panel.
It is advisable to keep the mixture inside the tank at
the most suitable level indicated by the "tank level
indication" led.
With the machine in "conservation" mode, the
START pushbutton is disabled.
To dispense the ice-cream again, it is necessary to
press the PRODUCTION pushbutton, wait until the
ideal consistency set has been reached and then
press the START pushbutton again.
