When automatic gate closing function is active, the barrier checks the gate's
working area before closing the gate. If during the remaining time to
automatic gate closing the barrier is breached, the time will be adjusted so
that the gate will close 6 seconds after leaving the barrier area.
The barrier function is enabled by factory default. To change the barrier

5. "HOLD TO RUN"
function
Activation of this function results in moving the gate only when one of two
buttons connected to inputs STER1 or STER2 (pins 8 or 7 and 10 on Fig. 1)
is pressed and hold. Releasing the button immediately stops the gate. STER2
input (pin 7 on Fig. 1) is responsible for opening the gate, while STER1 (pin
8 on Fig. 1) closes the gate. When the barrier function is active, breaching
the barrier during opening or closing the gate results in appropriate reaction,
depending on the barrier function options with exceptions mentioned below.
WARNING! Enabling the HOLD TO RUN function causes:
P
inability to control the gate using remote
controls. Using a remote control programmed in
the steering unit will only result in appearance of
word "Hr" on the display.

6. "SETTLEMENT" function
Enabling this feature will temporarily allow to take over control of the gate by
one user when any button on the remote control is pressed. This means that
different gate users can not interfere with their remote controls until the gate get
closed. Using a remote control by other user will have no impact on the work of
the gate. Only the display will show the number of remote control used (in this
example number 3), and then the word "

REMOTE CONTROL NUMBER 3 USED
Unlocking the possibility of controlling the gate to other users occurs in the
following cases:
P
immediately after closing the gate,
P
20 seconds after stopping the gate during opening or closing,
P
4 minutes after the last press of button of the remote control controlling the gate.
7. Light indicator
Light indicator is an external lamp installed near the gate.
P
Blinking light indicates that the gate is moving. After closing the gate the
lamp can still light for the time set during the installation of the steering unit
è

on time after closing/opening the gate)
P
Blinking light for 6 seconds when the gate is open indicates that automatic
gate closing will start soon.
P
Light on for 4 seconds indicates an obstacle violating the barrier.
P
Light on for 1 second every 2 seconds means that during gate move, or if
the gate was opened and automatic gate closing function was enabled,
there was a power loss. In this situation, the gate work is suspended and
can be restored by pressing the button or remote control button.
8. Operating 2 gates using the same set of remote controls
There is a possibility of an independent control of two gates located in close
proximity using the same set of remote controls.
After making appropriate settings (Look

one gate while the second button will be responsible for the second gate. Both
steering units will not have the possibility to use pedestrian gate function.
9. Overload protection
The ST-2 steering unit has an extensive protection system to prevent overloading
that can be caused by any obstacles during opening or closing the gate.
The gate moves with some resistance depending on its weight and the resistance
of drive transmissions. Stopping the gate using force leads to an increase of the
current powering the gate's motor.
The steering unit has two types of protection against overloading:
P
dynamic ("dn"),
P
static ("St")
.
The
9.1. Dynamic protection ("dn")
Dynamic protection controls the maximum value of which could increase the
current drawn by the motor propelling the gate in single step. This value is set
automatically by the steering unit (Look

Static overload protection
The current drawn by the gate's motor is analyzed by the steering unit during the
gate work. When a sharp growth exceeding set limit is detected "Procedure of
stopping the gate after overload" will be activated (Look

If the gate stops (for example due to snowdrift), user
can bypass dynamic overload protection and
resume gate movement. This can be done by
