SHORT CUT INSTRUCTION OF ST-2 STEERING UNIT
I. INSTALLATION
1. Turn off the power supply.
2. Pull out the fast-connectors.
3. Connect the wires to fast-connectors according to notice signed on
connecting board:
P
Supply of the steering input 1-2, marked as input ~ 24V.
P
Manual steering (option) input 7-15.
P
External antenna (option).
P
Signaling lamp (option) input 3-4.
P
Infrared barrier (option) input 13-15 (set up as active by the producer, the
continuous work of a circuit is secured by the hardware jumper) plus
photo-cells supply marked as output ~ 24V. Before installing of the
Photocells contacts remove the hardware jumper.
There are 4 operations modes of the BARRIER FUNCTION:
P
breaching the barrier during gate opening and closing stops the gate,
P
breaching the barrier during gate opening stops the gate. In contrast,
during gate closing is stops the gate and after a moment the full opening
is performed,
P
breaching the barrier during gate closing stops the gate,
P
breaching the barrier during gate closing stops the gate and after a
moment the full opening is performed,
NOTE: The barrier function is disabled by factory
default to mode number 4.
To change setting of the barrier mode check the
advanced manual.
The barrier input is GND active input (NC).
4. Connect fast-connectors.
5. Set manually the gate in the middle.
6. Turn on the power supply.
7. Check if the limit switches are properly stopping the drive unit. If not
change the place of connecting.
8.Adjust the overload power. Proceed as follows:
Automatic overload protection configuration
P
Enter steering unit programming mode (Look

programming mode
Entering the installer code
P
Select
"PA"
function using (+), (-) buttons.
P
Press "OK" to accept selection.
P
Message showing current working state ("on" - enabled, "of" - disabled)
will appear on the display.
P
Use (+), (-) buttons to select new value.
P
Press "OK" to save new setting or "CANCEL" to return.
P
To return to normal operation press "CANCEL" button as many times until
the one of the messages described in paragraph "DISPLAYED
MESSAGES" will appear on the display.
9. Initiate two cycles open close of the gate to calibrate times of the steering
unit. This actions are to set the moment of stopping the drive unit and set
the static and dynamic overload power.
10. Check if the drive unit works properly and set additional options (if
required). Proceed as follows.
II. EASY REMOTE CONTROLS PROGRAMMING
The easy remote programming feature is enabled by factory default
("PC" = on). In order to program new remote control press "OK" button for
6 seconds until message "Pr" appears on the display and the lamp blinks.
Then press any button on the remote control you would like to program. The
number of the newly programmed remote control would appear on the
display.
The steering unit automatically leaves the easy remote controls programming
function 5 seconds after programming last remote control.
In order to erase all remote controls which are in memory of the steering unit,
the "OK" button should be pressed and hold for 10 seconds. The lamp will
light up on permanently and blinking message "Pr" will appear on the
display. Then, after 5 seconds the light will blink and new remote controls
can be programmed.
