6.4. Installing end anchors
6.4.1. General
GB
The end anchors are secured on the structural anchors
and interface plates (ASPI) as defined in section 7.3.1.
For standard delivery, the end anchor is equipped with
a quick link connector type (J) and this notice placed in
a polyethylene bag. The anchor and indicator are pre-
assembled with a plastic collar placed in the securing
hole of the indicator and anchor.
6.4.2. Installing on structural anchor
The following installation procedure refers to figures 4
and 5 page 4:
a. Cut the plastic collar to release the indicator (ind. 1)
from the anchor (ind. 2) while holding the anchor
indicator in place.
b. Place the axis of the securing hole (ind. 8) in the axis
of the structural anchor hole (ind. 9).
c. As appropriate place a bolt for securing onto metal
structures in the structural anchor (ind. 3) (Fig. 4); a
screw or a threaded M16 anchor rod (Fig. 5) in the
case of securing onto a concrete installation plane.
"IMPORTANT": You must insert an M16 stainless
steel washer (ind. 5) between the end anchor and the
screw head or the structural anchor nut (ind. 3).
d. Tighten the M16 structural anchor using one or two
24 mm spanners.
e. Guide the end anchor in the recommended angular
position for the type of line securing and tighten the
structural anchor to the torque recommended in
section 7.3.1.
f. Place the quick connector link (J) inside the lifeline
mooring hole (ind. 10), tighten the lock nut connector
(ind. 11) and lock it firmly using a spanner.
Installation is complete.

the M16 washer (ind. 5) into the hole of the interface
plate (ind. 9) and then into the securing hole of the
anchor (ind. 8).
d. Locate the second M16 washer (ind. 5) and set up
the M16 nut (ind. 4).
e. Tighten the securing bolt and M16 nut using two
24 mm spanners.
f. Guide the end anchor in the angular position
recommended for the type of securing of the line
(section 3) and tighten the M16 bolt and nut as per
section 7.3.1.
g. Place the quick connector link (J) inside the lifeline
mooring hole (ind. 10), tighten the lock nut connector

6.5. Installing intermediary anchors
6.5.1. General
Intermediate anchors are attached to the structural
anchors and Interface plates (ASPI) as defined in
section 7.3.1. Moreover, in the case of installation on a
horizontal or inclined installation plane, the travflex™ 2
lifeline must not be deflected by an angle greater than
10° from the installation plane when passing through an
intermediary anchor (Fig. 3). Moreover, in the case of
installation on a vertical installation plane, the travflex™
2 lifeline must not be deflected by an angle greater than
15° from the installation plane when passing through an
intermediary anchor (Fig. 3).
For standard delivery, intermediate anchors are
supplied in a polyethylene bag pre-assembled with the
HM16 bolt and locknut.
6.5.2. Securing on structural anchor
The following installation procedure refers to Figures 7
and 8 pages 4 and 5:
a. Place the axis of the securing hole (ind. 8) in the axis
of the structural anchor hole (ind. 9).
b. As appropriate place a bolt for securing onto metal
structures in the structural anchor (ind. 3) (Fig. 7); a
screw or a threaded M16 anchor rod (Fig. 8) in the
case of securing onto a concrete installation plane.
