1. General description
The GRUNDFOS DMS dosing pump is a self-priming
diaphragm pump.
Page
The pump consists of:
4
• a cabinet incorporating the drive unit and
4
electronics,
5
• a dosing head with back plate, diaphragm,
6
valves, connections and vent valve and
6
• a control panel incorporating display and
6
buttons.
6
The pump is fitted with a synchronous motor, which
7
is started and stopped by means of the integrated
7
electronics. The capacity is varied by changing the
7
stroke frequency. The pump always generates a
7
complete stroke with full stroke length and the speed
8
of the suction and dosing strokes is constant, irre-
8
spective of the capacity setting. The motor drive also
9
eliminates undesired peak values during the suction
9
and dosing strokes. As the pump is always dosing at
10
full stroke length, it ensures the same high accuracy
10
and suction capability, irrespective of the capacity,
10
which is infinitely variable in the ratio of 1:100.
11
The pump features an LCD display and a user-
12
friendly control panel which gives access to the
13
pump functions.
