Wear

WARNING
!
Risk of accident and injury!
EN
Components whose service life has been exceeded can suddenly fail.
Excessive wear, material fatigue or loose screw connections can cause
functional impairments and may lead to accidents or falls.
» Check your e-bike regularly for wear.
» Do not use the e-bike if you notice any cracks, distortions or changes
in colour.
» Do not use the e-bike if you notice excessive wear or loose screw
connections.
» Have your e-bike checked immediately by your dealer if you notice
excessive wear, loose screw connections, cracks, deformation or
colour changes.
Your Schindelhauer e-bike is heavily stressed by the influences of the
ground and by the forces you introduce into the e-bike. The various
components react to these dynamic loads with wear and fatigue.
Please also observe the further notices:
⇨ section "Servicing" page 155
and
⇨ section "Cleaning and care" page 173
.
• Bring your e-bike regularly for inspection so that the parts in question

Notes on components made of aluminium,
carbon or composite materials
WARNING
!
Risk of accident and injury!
Material failure due to non-visible cracks or deformations after a fall
or overload.
» Do not use your e-bike if you suspect damage.
» Have aluminium, carbon or composite components checked by your
dealer after an overload or fall, even if they show no visible damage.
» Have components made of aluminium, carbon or composite materials
checked at regular intervals by your dealer, even if they have not
been subjected to overload.
NOTE
Risk of damage!
Material damage or increased wear due to incorrect care of carbon or
composite components.
» Avoid contact of carbon or composite components with grease and oil.
For components such as frames, forks, handlebars and wheels made
of aluminium, carbon or composite materials, hard impacts, shocks and
tensions are harmful. This has a detrimental effect on the internal structure
of the material without this damage being outwardly visible.
• Have aluminium, carbon or composite components checked at regular
intervals by your dealer.
