7. Maintenance
Please mind the following safety instructions during
maintenance operations:
•
Turn off the Bosch eBike System and remove the
battery before you start working on your e-bike
•
Never turn your e-bike upside down for
maintenance or repair. This might damage the
brake system.
•
Extra caution is advised when working on rotating
parts (e.g. wheels and belt drive). Danger of
crushing!
•
Always wear gloves when working on parts with
sharp edges like mudguards or brake discs.
Danger of injury!
Your Schindelhauer e-bike is subject to both environmental
and physical influences due to ground properties, and the
forces you apply to the e-bike. This causes wear and tear in
multiple parts and components of the bike. Please perform
regular checks on your e-bike and look out for cracks,
scratches, bends, as well as stains and discoloration, etc.
Components that passed their lifespan may fail suddenly
and without prior warnings. Please regularly take your
Schindelhauer bike to professional inspections, where
outworn parts can be replaced. Please find further
information on maintenance and safety in chapters 8 "Care
instructions" (page 97 f.) and 11 "Tightening torques" (page
103).
In the interest of your own safety, please do not
overestimate your own abilities when doing any work on
your bicycle. When in doubt, always contact one of our
Schindelhauer dealers, or us directly.
