Warranty
With your decision to buy a Schindelhauer Bikes bicycle, you may call a
high-quality product your own. According to European warranty terms and
conditions, the period of warranty is two years. It begins with the delivery
to the customer. As proof of purchase and delivery, please store the sales
receipt for the duration of warranty.
In addition to the general two-year period of warranty, a reverse burden
of proof is in effect for a period of six months following the purchase.
After this period, the buyer has to prove that the fault was already present
when the product was delivered and was not in fact caused by improper
maintenance or wear and tear.
The warranty does not cover:
1. Damage caused by improper handling (see Intended Use) or by force
majeure.
2. All parts subject to functional wear and tear as far as there is no produc-
tion- or material failure (page 42).
3. Damage caused by improper or poor maintenance and care, non-pro-
fessional repairs, rebuilding or replacements of parts.
4. Damage caused by accidents or other abnormal interferences as far
they are not traced back to informational- or product failures.
5. Repairs with used parts, or following damages due to this.
6. Damage caused under competitive circumstances
7. Subsequent installation of additional parts, which were not included in
the scope of delivery at the date of delivery, or damages caused while
assembling these parts.
