8.3.2 Perform diagnosis

The diagnosis function works only if a vehicle is se-
lected in the database and when two service hoses
are connected.
i
If no vehicle is selected, ACS 511 opens the data-
base and prompts to select a vehicle in order to
perform a diagnosis.

Follow the additional ACS 511 menu prompting.
1. Call up the start screen.
2. Press <MENU>.
3. Select "DIAGNOSTIC" with o u and confirm with
E.
 Message is displayed.
4. Select the number of service hoses.
i
Only 2 service hoses can be entered for diagnosis.
5. Select vehicle from the vehicle database.
6. Apply data.
7. Enter the measured ambient temperature and con-
firm with E.
8. Enter the read pressure value (HP) and confirm with
E.
9. Enter the read pressure value (LP) and confirm with
E.
10. Enter the air temperature measured at the fan open-
ings and confirm with E.
 Option <1> and <2> are displayed:

<1> Result:
The entered data is displayed along with the status.

<2> Diagnosis:
A list of potential causes is displayed along with the
potential solutions.
11. Select option <1> or <2>.

Confirm with E

Return with <Stop>.

9.1 Database

9.1.1 Vehicle database

In this menu, you can select the vehicles included in
the vehicle database, along with all relevant data.

The vehicle database can be updated annually using
a PS2 stick. Please contact your authorized dealer.

The filling data can be taken directly from the ve-
hicle database and printed.

Follow the additional ACS 511 menu prompting.
1. Call up the start screen.
2. Press <DATABASE>.
3. Select "STANDARD SPECS" with o u and confirm
with E.
4. Select "EUROPEAN" and confirm with E.
5. Select vehicle (manufacturer) with o u and confirm
with E.
6. Select type (model) with o u and confirm with E.
7. <1>, <2> Apply data or display.

9.1.2 Personal database

In this menu, you can manage a personal database
with vehicles you enter yourself.
i
There are 4 lines with 20 characters for the vehicle
description, and 1 line with 20 characters each for
the refrigerant quantity, oil quantity and oil type
available.

Not all 4 lines need to be filled out. Navigate the
cursor to the next line with E. In this case, the
previous line will remain empty.
