Setting the infrared detection range
and microwave sensitivity
The lower infrared beam range determines the range of the detector.
The upper infrared beam always stays parallel to the ground. The lower beam is adjusted depending on the
position of the 5-position slide switch, as shown in the figures below. Given that the beams (lower and upper)
must be broken simultaneously to trigger an alarm, the detector range is limited to the range of the lower beam.

This device detects temperature differences between the moving object and the ambient temperature
in the detection zone. If the object is immobile, it cannot be detected.
This device uses directional detection. It is difficult for it to detect a target coming straight towards the
detector.
If people or objects frequently pass by near the detection zone, the detection zone should preferably be
moved approximately 1.5 m to 2.0 m away from this movement zone.
