Lubrication

Lubrication of components is necessary for your bicycle to work
as well as possible for as long as possible and to prevent
corrosion of components.
-
Use special transmission oil for the cables and
transmission components.
-
Use a specific oil for the chain.
-
After washing: dry and oil the transmission components
(levers, etc.) and suspension components, the brake lever
and caliper axles as well as the chain while taking care
not to soil the nearing rim.
-
For a good seal, apply enough grease to the seat post and
handlebars.
WARNING: With the exception of the chain,
the components can be lubricated by a
qualified and experienced mechanic during
periodic checks.
c)

Changing brake pads

-
Remove the wheel and remove the worn pads from the
brake caliper.
-
Position the new pads in the caliper so that the braking
surfaces come into contact.
-
Insert the pads one after the other into the brake caliper.
-
Then adjust the brakes as described in the brake
adjustment section.
d)
Wheel rim maintenance
Like all parts subject to wear, the wheel rim should be checked
regularly.
If you notice any abnormalities (abnormal wear or possible
deformation), ask a qualified mechanic to check it over. If your
rims have wear indicators, check and replace the rim as soon as
necessary.
