b) Installation in the Model
• Select the installation position in the model as far away as possible from the speed controller, motor, driving battery
or servos.
The receiver should be installed in a protected place of the model so that no dust or dirt can get in. The
best choice would be an RC box (usually found in combustion models).
If the receiver is installed in a ship model, it must be installed in a water-tight RC box!
• Attach the receiver in the model with something like hook and loop tape or double-sided adhesive tape. In models
with an RC box, wrap the receiver in foam material and secure it with a rubber ring Then place the receiver in the RC
box.
• Where possible, do not place the aerial cable next to other cables. Do not bundle it with any cables between speed
controller and motor.
• Never shorten the aerial cable! This reduces the range extremely. Never roll up the aerial cable. Smooth out the
aerial cable and use a so-called aerial tube, which should be led vertically from the model.
Simply let any excess aerial cable protrude loosely from the tip of the aerial tube.
If the aerial tube or model comes with a small rubber cap, attach it to the upper end of the aerial tube. The rubber cap
serves to fasten the aerial cable so that it cannot slip.
