MAINTENANCE
Read the safety instructions
COOLANT (Fig.17 / 18)
Fill the radiator with a 50% anti-freeze solution to the
correct level. The level is correct when the coolant
is at the bottom of the filler neck. The overflow
bottle O should normally be 1/4-1/2 full. To drain
the cooling system, attach a 3/8 I.D. hose to the end
of engine drain petcock N. Turn valve handle
counter-clockwise to open.
IMPORTANT - Do not add 100% antifreeze to
radiator or overflow bottle. Always premix a 50%
solution.
When refilling the cooling system:
1. Ensure that the drain is closed
2. Fill radiator with antifreeze solution to the bottom
of the fill neck.
3. Start the engine and run at 1/4 throttle until
engine thermostat opens (coolant movement will
be seen at the radiator fill neck area).
4. Continue to add coolant to keep coolant level at
the bottom of the filler neck.
5. When the coolant level stabilizes at the bottom of
the fill neck, install the radiator pressure cap.
CLEAN RADIATOR AND ENGINE
COMPARTMENT (check daily) (Fig.19 / 20)
Clean oil cooler and radiator to prevent overheating
of the hydraulic system and engine. Clean the engine
compartment to prevent the build up of debris that
could become a fire hazard.
Clean the machine as follows using compressed air.
Do not use high pressure water as damage to
radiator and oil cooler might result.
1. Loosen (2) bolts Q on the bottom of the fuel tank
and pivot the access cover R to one side.
2. clean hood intake screen S
3. Remove and clean oil cooler filter T
4. Unlatch (2) latches U and allow the radiator to
pivot back until it hits stops
5. Clean Oil cooler W and radiator X.
6. Flush engine compartment from both ends
toward the center drain hole
7. Pivot access cover R over drain hole and tighten
(2) bolts Q
