„K-RAT II" is a modern all-round model based on the legendary „primary" K-RAT from 1997 by ROBBE.
The new model „II" meets the most modern requirements in terms of construction and aerodyna-
mic design. The model is suitable for fast flights, aerobatics and feels just as comfortable in thermals
(thanks to the controlled rudder) as it does as a fun and training model. Due to the well-balanced
and good-natured flight characteristics, even those changing from 2-axle to 3-axle models will
find the perfect model. Not only the less experienced, but also the ambitious model pilot gets an
all-round model for almost every weather situation and area of application. The model has some
outstanding detail solutions, such as its own servo shaft on the underside of the fuselage for elevator
and rudder servo, a carbon round rod for wings that can be attached at the side, wing locking via
„CLIP Fixing" and a very high degree of prefabrication as only the required battery including regula-
tor and receiver needs to be installed.

The „K-RAT II" has a very wide range of applications, but it is not a high-speed model, which is sui-
table for hard aerobatic manoeuvres with large rudder deflections at high speed, as well as speed
flights with full engine power. In extreme cases this can lead to structural failure!
The equipment components recommended in the following assembly instructions have proven
themselves in countless test flights. Should you wish to use different components, the following instal-
lation recommendations may have to be modified for these components.
• Before the first flight, observe the instructions in the „Safety Instructions" section.
• When flying the model, you should choose a day with as little wind as possible
• A large, flat area without obstacles (trees, fences power lines etc.) is suitable for the first flights.
• Please carry out a functional test of the drive train / power set and remote control.
• After assembling the model on the airfield, check once again that all model components such as
wing, tail units, wing mounts, engine, linkages, etc. are firmly and properly fastened.
• For a hand start a helper should be present, who can throw the model with enough thrust into the
air.
• The start usually takes place against the wind.
• Do not stall the model near the ground
• Do not initiate tight turns in the immediate vicinity of the ground.
• Check the reactions of the model to the rudder deflections. If necessary, adjust after landing to
increase or decrease the deflections accordingly.
10
• The minimum flight speed must be at an adequate safety altitude.
• Initiate the landing with sufficient speed
