The transducer is maintenance-free. NEVER try to open the transducer.
Repair
Because of the encapsulation of the transducer, repair by Knick is only
possible to a limited extent.
Return of Products
DO NOT open the transducer. Should you have any complaints, please
contact Knick or your local distributor before returning the transducer
and observe the information on how to return a defective product given
on our website:
www.knick.de (select your language) > Service > Repairs
Cleaning
The transducer may be cleaned with oil-free compressed air.
• Always de-energize the input and power supply of the transducer before
cleaning it!
First Steps for Troubleshooting
• Check if all cables are properly connected.
• Check the power supply.
– When the power LED lights green, power supply is connected.
• Check the diagnostics output.
– In the event of a fault, the diagnostics LED lights red.
The diagnostics contact is open (high resistance).
Observe the safety instructions, see page 48.
• Check the input signal.
– Check if the input signal is actually present.
• Check the output signal.
– Measure the voltage output, e.g., by connecting a multimeter
to the test jacks of the output terminals.
– Measure the current output via the monitor output, e.g., by connecting
a multimeter to the test jacks of the output terminals.
