• The plastic covers for the actuators must not be damaged.
• Check that the transformer housing is fixed firmly to the motor on the head-raising device..

Mains cable

• Check that the main cable is not sectioned and that the protective plastic has not been broken.
• Also check the condition and correct functioning of the anti-traction system on the supply cable (see figure
15) and the cord connector.
8.7

Other cables

• Check that they are in a good condition. The plastic surrounding must not be torn or crushed.
• Check the seals on the connecting plugs.
8.8

Hand control unit

Please check that
All keys are moving easily and do not stick

The box is with out any tear or other damage
-
The cable is not kinked or damaged
-
The plug or the kink protection cover are not torned.

The integrated blocking device:
The function of the security equipment have to be controlled. Please proceed in the following way:
1. put the switch in position 2 (lock symbol open, see figure 23)
2. move all inclining of the bed in the lightly upraised position
3. put the switch in position 1 (lock symbol close, see figure 23)
4. by pressing each adjustment button the bed must not move
5. bring the key switch on the back side of the hand control unit in testing position 1
6. while pressing each adjustment button the bed must not move
7. bring the key switch on the back side of the hand control unit in testing position 2
8. while pressing each adjustment button the bed must not move
8.9

Test the general electrical system (mandatory in Germany and recommended for other countries)

Checking of the electrical system is mandatory. This must at least include examination of the emergency
fault current of the control unit and determination of insulation resistance
implemented by an electrician or electro-technician using appropriate measuring and test methods.
Following conditions have to be fulfilled:
Emergency fault current ≤ 0,100 mA
Insulation resistance ≥ 7 MOhm
During this check procedure, the green button on the plug and the corresponding key on the hand-operated
control unit must now be pressed.
Measurements must be recorded between :
• the control unit and the bed framework
• the control unit and the hand-operated control unit.
If the measured values exceed the values indicated above or if they deviate by more than 50% from the first /
previous measurement, the electrical system must be taken out of use and the system must be inspected by
a Thuasne distributor.
