3. Intended Use
The product consists of an outdoor unit (with bell button, speaker and microphone), a mobile unit, a basis
station (with integrated charging tray for the mobile unit) and a relay module (for connecting a door ope-
ner).
Power is supplied to the basis station via the included mains adapter. The mobile unit is operated via two
NiMH rechargeable batteries of type AAA/Micro.
The outdoor unit is suitable for installation in and outdoors (IP44), all other parts of the system must not
get moist or wet.
The outdoor unit and the relay module need a stabilised operating voltage of 12 V/DC; a suitable mains unit
is not enclosed.
If a person pushes the bell button on the outdoor unit, the mobile unit will ring. Then the mobile unit can be
used to talk to the visitor. If the visitor is to be granted access, you can activate a door opener at the mobile
unit, which must be connected to the relay module.
The mobile unit can be used not only to communicate with the outdoor unit, but also can be used as a
conventional DECT phone.
The basis station permits expansion to up to 5 mobile units; one is enclosed, others can be ordered as ac-
cessories. The basis station works according to the DECT/GAP standard, so that devices of other manufac-
tures can also be logged on. Due to the many manufactures and devices, however, we cannot guarantee
for impeccable function here. The door opener function is also not possible with third-party devices.
The safety notes and all other information in these operating instructions always have to be observed!
Any use other than that described above can damage the product and may involve additional risks such as
short circuit, fire, electric shock, etc. No part of this product must be modified or converted!
