General
1.
Main switch
This switch turns the machine on and off.
Lights when on.

Mains cable
Entry point for mains voltage supply cable.

Welding cable sockets
DC positive and negative welding current outlet
sockets. Electrode cable placed in positive or
negative socket as recommended by electrode
manufacturer with earth return cable to be placed
in remaining socket.
4.
Welding current control
This knob allows infinite adjustment of welding
current across full 10 - 140 Amp output range.
5.
Excessive temperature
This LED switches on if the machine stops
because of overheating.
Overheating error
Cause:
Overheating of the welding machine
due to incorrect use.
Symptoms: The welding process stops.
This error is indicated by the yellow
LED and the words " ? C".
Action:
When the machine has cooled the
LED goes out and the machine is
ready for operation.

The PILOT welding machines require virtually no
maintenance. However, exposure to extremely dusty,

damp or corrosive air is damaging to welding machi-
nes. In order to prevent problems arising, the following
procedure should be observed at least once a year.

MAINTENANCE
disconnect the machine from the incoming mains
supply.
open the machine and clean it with clean, dry,
compressed air
