Mobility
The insulated carrying handle is strong enough to be
used for movement or carriage of the machine,
including lifting by hoist or crane.
A shoulder strap can be supplied as an accessory, and
the mains cable can be coiled around the handle when
the machine is being carried.
When in use the machine must not be held by or
carried by or attached to any person.
Positioning
Do not place the machine on either of its ends as this
will obstruct the circulation of cooling air through the
louvres provided. (See also permitted ambient tem-
perature technical specifications).
During its operation the machine should be placed in
the horizontal position. If used on a tilted bedplate, the
machine should be placed with one end pointing
towards the highest point and in a way that will ensure
that pulling the welding cables will not cause the
machine to tip over.
PILOT 141 must not be used in areas where there is
any hazard of explosion. When used at a height the
machine must be fastened properly. The handle may
be used for this purpose. If using the machine for any
purpose other than welding, eg. the thawing of frozen
water pipes, be aware of the fire hazard involved.
It must be ensured that the air intake and outlet are not
blocked.
Static characteristic
The high performance of the machine is illustrated on
the static characteristic graph and is due to the high
arc voltage reserve of this machine. Among other
applications this is important when welding with high
recovery electrodes. Contact your local MIGATRONIC
