18. Explaination of terms
Comfort indicator (only display field B)
The symbols of the comfort indicator (the three different faces ☺
temperature, whereas the weather station functions according to the following table:
Temperature Relative air humidity:
20
< 18°C
18-19,9°C
20-21,9°C
22-23,9°C
24-25,9°C
26-27,9°C
> 28°C
Depending on the relationship between temperature and air humidity, there are clearly
delimited ranges that can be defined as comfortable or uncomfortable climate.
Thus, a temperature of for example +25°C and an air humidity of under 30% are perceived as
too dry (e.g. air conditioning) and one over approx. 60% as too sticky.
• The symbol of the comfort indicator for display field A is controlled according
to the comfort range set in chapter 11.d).
• With sensors that do not transmit humidity values, the comfort indicator is
not displayed.
Dewpoint
It is a temperature point, which depends on the cooccurence of a certain temperature and a
certain air humidity.
At this temperature point the condensation of air humidity begins; the so-called bedewing; air
humidity condenses out and precipitates out in the form of a liquid (fog, vapor).
If the dewpoint for steam is under 0°C, then the condensation takes place as snow or rime.
